This american combo is now tending to be more root rock oriented gaining high success in more mainstream "new angry young men" audience. But this debut work is a pure old school neofolk, reminding of early days Death In June and Sol Invictus, with young raw power, aggression, extreme sincerity and great hooky melodies. This version has totally new mastering, so the sound is clearly different from the vinyl release and it has now become proper as artists think. CD also has 6 bonus tracks including the ones from the first 7" and the first CDR on Axiomata as well as a couple of previously unreleased ones. This edition is limited to 450 copies and comes in a special foldout envelope with cardboard inner sleeve and three postcard inserts with lyrics and photos. (Indiestate)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: Indiestate Distribution
Label / Sublabel: Der Angriff
Catalognumber: Nr.40

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: check information at cart contents *
Numbers of copies at Jamarico Zürich, ready for listen: none. *

* Information without guarantee

The album d-Moll is a musical anthology of long forgotten lyricists, longing back to the death of Goethe. The elegies all evolvoing from the 19th century reveal the sadness and the pain of the loss of close relatives. Melancholy and transience, deathwish and madness, dream and reality cristalize themselves out of these thoughts and build the centre of d-Moll. The area of romanticism, especially the so called black romanticism, focusses around these motives that are now being displayed by the album. Inspired by componists of the romantic times the extict poetry is based on the dark and melancholic tunes of a piano, Du Verwaistes Haus, based on a composition by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, being the only exception, standing out as an example for the decline of that classical epoch from it's instrumental basis. C.P.E. Bach was regarded to be the umbral composer even during his lifetime by the veracuty of his father. The closing words by the German imperator Wilhelm II. from 1904 build the end of the album, questioning the human arrogance with his words 'the world is so big und we are so small, how come that we expect to circle everything around us. (Lichterklang)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Lichterklang
Catalognumber: LK007

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: check information at cart contents *
Numbers of copies at Jamarico Zürich, ready for listen: none. *

* Information without guarantee

Records erschienen ist, nicht wegzudenken aus der Schweizer Instrumentalbandsszene, zu der u.a. Shora, Shelving und The Evpatoria Report gehören.

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Shayo
Catalognumber: Shayo 017

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. The eerie spaces in between on Anxiolytics (The Visit) and Left Wind give the feeling of being utterly lost amidst moments of discovery and great confidence.
Though musical travel is nothing new for Goodbye Ivan, Intervals is many leaps ahead of his previous recordings. If the K Syndrome was the birth of Goodbye Ivan, Intervals is his adolescence on the way to full artistic ripeness. While still spirited with reckless abandon, it also has maturity and form and an accessibility that we've not seen before. Guest vocals by Simon Huw Jones (And Also the Trees, November) Alexandre Varlet, Alexander Cracker (Chapter) and Brooklyn-based Russophone Alina Simone on four of the albums tracks help to round out the meditative rhythms--typical of the K Syndrome--to form beautiful mini-masterpieces called songs. If you enjoyed the emotional troubadourian feel of the K Syndrome, but craved a little more direction and power, this may answer all your needs. Goodbye Ivan's follow-up album packs a satisfying listening experience into a compelling 60-minute interval. (Shayo)

Tracklist:
1. L'Ennui 05:02
2. East River 06:32
3. Mirrors that refract images into dark pools of cosmic nothingness. Inade explore these worlds on their latest masterpiece, The Incarnation of the Solar Architects, in which sound is utilized in a transformative manner, not only to focus on that which lies beyond and that which has never been seen, but to embrace the Darkness and let it wash over one's soul. The mythology that Inade has created touches that place beyond forever, yet now, through the insistence of that which lurks in the margins, a metamorphosis has transpired, in which the cosmos of self has awakened. If one believes that God is everywhere, so is the Darkness that came before Him. A Darkness thriving with anonymous ideals (the possibilities are endless ...) and devious intentions, resplendent with mystical creatures that shamble through antediluvian kingdoms constructed from polished metal, luxurious crystals, and unlimited dreams ... though one would need new eyes to see them, and new ears to hear them. Inade provide the soundtrack--the frisson of unease is abundant, a churning, seething dread that veers into awe. It's up to the individual listener to listen intently, behind shuttered eyelids ... to see and experience the true labyrinthine hierarchy of black splendor that awaits.
2nd edition in jewelcase
(Loki Foundation)

Eines meiner Lieblingsalben von 2009. SC = Due to the larger size of this article, we have to charge CHF 8.-- for shipping (Priority post) within Switzerland. Of course, this extra amount is charged only once per shipment, even if you order includes other articles.

Additional informations

Casing: n/a
Limited / Varia: ltd (500)

Article discription:
BASIC CONCEPT: "Substantia Innominata" is the brand new release-series from Drone Records. We are proud to present this as a 10" VINYL series along with subsequent re-releases on CD. This new series doesn't focus on a special concept or ideology regarding the music, but on a certain theme. The theme for this 10" series is based on "The Un-known, The Un-nameable, The Un-speakable, The Un-thinkable, etc.: Various aspects related to "The Unknown". Basically the grey matter (psychic or physical, which are bound to result the same) surrounding us / within us, but can't be understood or recognized through the normal senses (though some may perceive it on a subconscious level). We could name it "The Unconscious". The chosen name for this series, "Substantia Innominata", was inspired to the fact that this Latin name represents a certain region of the brain which has unknown functions and remains a mystery for its role and existence. Therefore this name reflects well the intense fascination for this impalpable concept of "the unknown".
The invited artists for this series were asked to work around this theme, to let themselves be inspired by its abstraction. The artwork for this series will be created by the various visual & graphic artists. All in full-colour or silkscreen covers. The 10" vinyl pressings will come in an edition of 500 copies for each title.

Behind LUNAR ABYSS DEUS ORGANUM (= also known as LUNAR ABYSS QUARTET or just LUNAR ABYSS) we find Russian artist EVGENY [Biosonar] SAVENKO from the vivid St. Petersburg experimental & post-industrial scene. Since more than a decade he's producing a unique style of music combining elements of droning ambient industrial, traditional folklore and electronic, tribal/trancy psychedelism, adding pure sound-experiments often based on field recordings. A strong DIY-attitude (self-released albums usually have handmade covers with ornamental drawings & paintings) is connected with a shamanistic and pan-religious philosophy. Meditation, Trance, the wish to explore the own unconscious areas by ecstatic experiences and a deep connection with nature are his main characteristics.
The two pieces "Atanimonni" and "Aitnatsbus" were especially recorded for our 10"-series and give a wonderful example of the typical L.A.D.O.-style: two long tracks (total 23+ min.) of stunning multi-layered compositions, using lots of detail-sounds from domestic and wild animals, mountain winds and brooks, forest shelters and a destroyed missile garrison, soviet analog synths, north saami female voices / singings, subtle (neo) classic harmonies, bells & gongs... hyper-dense & fluid at the same time!
Both tracks end up in endless grooves (water & fire) to symbolize the connection to timeless energies. Lim. 500 with artwork by ARTYOM OSTAPCHUK (KRYPTOGEN RUNDFUNK / ZHELEZOBETON label), comes on sky-blue, crystal & white mixed vinyl. (Drone Records)

"Recordings of field recordind sounds were made in the summer of 2009 in the Carpathian mountains and the land of lakes in Karelia, during a miraculous journey, full of joyful inspiration. Limited to 200 copies in DVD-case with 24-page booklet.New album of Martin Bladh is his best and most challenging. Many of the known elements of his works are there. Amazing tones of bow / string instruments. wailing yelling voice known from IRM. usage of samples/spoken word collages like on "Dirge". rhythms. musical patterns and electronic noise. But simply everything goes further. Leaving all expectation behind. what should qualify as "genre album". Less of noise. more of experimental disturbing elements. often avoiding playing it safe. This work is most definitely recommended for anyone who wants to hear albums what stand out of line. It was cold, damp and foggy. Nurse With Wound were playing 2 nights at the Teatro Fondamenta Nuove, with Blind Cave Salamander as support act. Listening to them perform, Steven Stapleton felt that some of what they played reminded him of the classic Nurse work, 'Soliloquy for Lilith'. He suggested that the two bands should explore the possibility of playing live together, to explore that piece, with a view to recording an album. Forward to September 2009 when, after rehearsals, Nurse With Wound (Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter) and Blind Cave Salamander (Fabrizio Palumbo, Julia Kent and Paul Beauchamp) perform their live version of Soliloquy for the first time at the Mutamento Festival in Turin. The audience responded with great enthusiasm. The cabbalistic proceedings of that evening are contained on this recording. The LP is limited to just 650 copies and is pressed in 180 gm virgin black vinyl. "Easterly 6 or 7" initially made by Staalplaat in 1997 is one of the best Rapoon albums of the early period. More ambient than its chronological neighbours it still has a lot of ethnic sampled percussions, eerie sounds, strange surreal samples and mysterious scratches and breathes, while the voice of the Moroccan singer Khadija Lourlham is adding some special colours to the overall typical Middle-eastern flavour of 90-es Rapoon sound world. It's music was based on the mixture of Dark Ambient and Neoclassic. During the winter of 2007 the first demo titled 'Stille' was recorded and soon SVALBARD received the invitation to take part in the international fest Crivia Aeterna. After the band's first performance it's conception was reworked and the following year SVALBARD performed their new program together with the new member [K.S.] who since then has become responsible for the lyrics of the project. After this performance the band received their first contract with Der Angriff (subdivision of Russian label Indiestate) and released their first EP Treue Vaterland Jugend. During spring and the summer of 2009 SVALBARD was working on their first LP Heimkunft that was released on the German Lichterklang label in 2010 and gained a lot of respect from fans and media worldwide. 2012 now sees the release of the second fulltime album entitled Der letzte Blick zurück again on Lichterklang, strengthening their songwriting skills and sharpening SVALBARD's individual character as that, being the perfect blend of pathetic dance hymns and military pop appeal combined with the depth of russian melancholy and new gained folkloristic influences. The album will be released as a standard jewelcase edition including 8-page-booklet, mastered by Axel Frank (Werkraum, Triarii) at the Blue Lounge Studios Berlin. (Lichterklang)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Lichterklang
Catalognumber: LK006

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: check information at cart contents *
Numbers of copies at Jamarico Zürich, ready for listen: none. *

* Information without guarantee

There is a feel of acroamatic escapism, there are these huge chords of hissing analogue synthesizers and you can even find this special kind of Slavonian melancholia (or Baltic, respectively) people use to rave about. Astrowind bring up a lot of references in their beautiful and, well, obsolete music. Astrowind Project got the harmonies and the sound to become one of the most interesting Baltic acts to emerge from a scene rich of innovative musicians (Muschraum, Joel Tammik, Selffish, to name just the most obvious). This first Astrowind pro-CD album is a tribute to Aleksander Kaidanovsky, worldwide well known and seminal russian actor and film director. The album consists is eight tracks filled with mind-floating contructions and de-contructions that will bring the listener to a wider dimension. "Kaidanovsky" sounds like an oppressive, yet captivating, music experience surfing from a lysergic and mutant electronic textures to a degraded samples and hypnotic voices of the universe. A really amazing and impressive album for one of the most talented artist coming from baltic area. (Audioglobe)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples: http://www.greytone.eu/?page_id=921

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Greytone
Catalognumber: grey010

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. 'symbiosis' is a perfect allegory of his intentions for this album where he merges his creations with the additives of other artists' music and artwork. 'one and the same' features tomas pettersson and rose-marie larsen from stockholm's well-acquainted neofolk and martial industrial group ordo rosarius equilibrio. mighty drum patterns, a hypnotic piano line and mind ensnaring vocals result in a perfect album opener. 'deceivious water' combines melancholy, dark ambience and menacing atmospheres, including vocals by the swedish medieval-ambient project arcana. in slaughter natives, a pioneer of symphonic industrial contributed vocals and lyrics on 'dissection of purity', a fiery rhythmic track with gloomy death industrial influences. christel morvan aka nesisart who made the artwork for this album contributed vocals and lyrics to the haunting and ritualistic, 'la rivière noire' where dark shallows hide beneath the apparent ease - beware... . the calm and relieving 'seven types of ambiguity' is a recent collaboration between empusae and nicolai riccardo (nick) grey after the 'simple black lines in a diagram' release five years ago - beautiful moody ambient for relaxational purpose. the purely instrumental 'kralizec' releases the mindful listener with sable sentiments on pulsating beat structures showing sal-ocin's impressive musical skills once again. dedicated to the graphic novel artist daniel hulet whose three-volume edition 'extra muros' became inspirational to an earlier empusae release, 'symbiosis' represents sal-ocins distinguished unique class as a musician and intermediator between different artistic worlds. listen carefully and let your mind go while the mantis joins the ants! packaging: cd gatefold sleeve. (Ant-Zen)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Ant-Zen
Catalognumber: act272

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: check information at cart contents *
Numbers of copies at Jamarico Zürich, ready for listen: none. *

* Information without guarantee

'the cursed species', cdatakill’s second cd, took the whole 'rave is back' anthic and twisted it in roberts' own and unique way. two years were necessary to give birth to the calmer, warmer 'valentine', seeing cdatakill moving away from the avalanche of hard breakbeats which had been associated with his name, and bring a very original mixture of dub sounds, heavy bass and hi-fi production. with 'battleworn', hymen records is proud to present cdatakill's fourth full length album. the nine tracks plus two remixes by nest and sense display a slowly-paced blast of atmospheres and kick drums, fusing drum'n'bass, intricate broken beats and components of dubstep accumulated with startling speed changes and sound manipulations. cinematic synth spheres merge with well positioned vocal samples, deliberate usage of delay / reverb and even heavy electric bass and guitar feedbacks. the goal of the project is to pin opposites together, to bring sounds that normally oppose and conflict with each other into a seamless aural nightmare and daydream, to expose and glorify the beautiful alongside the violent. cdatakill's intention for this album's aural impression is to carry the every day frustrations weighing down on someone who is near the end of their rope, but on the other side of the coin to paint a picture of some kind of soul-less warrior wandering the world, impervious to all the damage that could possibly be caused, some kind of battleworn machine that just doesn't care anymore. while listening you will endorse that 'battleworn' is the perfect realization of cdatakill's thoughts. (Ant-Zen)

Tracklist:
http://www.hymen-records.com/all/y799.html

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Ant-Zen / Hymen Records
Catalognumber: ¥799

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. 'the resistance' offers a good balance of densely layered forceful electronics with dark ambient undercurrents, occasionally rhythmic pulses and offensive vocals filtered through diverging effects. the voice is never used as an overbearance or focal point, but as one of the many aural textures. control never sacrifices the music or the emotional weight on the altar of rhetoric - it is his intention to arouse the listener with almost cinematic moods, creating a sonic environment where nothing good seems possible for people who might inhabit it. control has moved to the top of the power electronics pantheon for good reason. he is talented enough to accumulate power noise with death / ambient industrial and to create fascinating arcs of suspense, making you pay attention until the last second. his passion for detail means full focus is required - a must for maximum appreciation. (Ant-Zen)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Ant-Zen
Catalognumber: act270

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. This is the fifth album of their joint project which has been formed in 2006 and now gathers more and more attention from the audience which it really deserves. Obviously the duo is on its best creative form today and this work proves it totally. Delicate improvisational loop/collage technic which became a face of :zoviet*france: of its golden mid-80es era is brought here to a new level of sonic wizardry making a perfect balance between great operational technical skills and living breathing musical canvas. An absolute masterpiece of experimental electronic sound art which is far from both formal approach of concrete music and total lack of structure typical to pure improvisationists. Very recommended not only to :zoviet*france: / rapoon / dvoa fans but for much wider circles of true music lovers! Italian ambient-acoustic sonic sculptor Stefano Musso returns for his first solo Alio Die release on Projekt in 20 years. Don't get the idea he's been on vacation, however! Since 1992 he has released 37 collaborative CDs and 19 solo CDs; this makes Deconsecrated and Pure Alio Die's 20th solo release! The processed traditional instruments and natural textures float alongside rich electro-organic drones, creating a perfect introspective soundtrack with a medieval and sacral atmosphere. Serene and meditative textures combine in a chorus of circular and interwoven sounds, reflecting the harmony of the cosmos as an opus of inner stillness. To create this work, Stefano selected fragments of sessions recorded with the acoustic instruments, modifying them through multi-layered loops. Pitch and frequencies changed, effects were added, other sound objects were played and processed into the mix. This was further augmented with the electronics and field recordings adding more layers meta- morphosizing the whole atmosphere into a deep trance mood. What makes Alio Die's compositions glow is the attention to detail and fluidity; something from the background floats to the foreground as it is slowly modified, or perhaps it's the gentle addition of a bagpipe or stringed instruments. It all intertwines through constant modulation, addition of atmo- spheric sounds, and re-contextualization. Marvelously floating and hauntingly expressive, Deconsecrated and Pure feels like a liturgical poem within an archaic mausoleum distorted by time. (Audioglobe)

Tracklist:
01 Layers of Faith 02 Obliterated Alcove 03 Peel Away This Mortal Coil 04 Cerulean Facade 05 De-altared

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Projekt
Catalognumber: PRO270

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. Byron is joined by Steve Roach who provides the harmonic and textural psychotropic stew created from a rich, organic and analog blend. The alchemy with the percussion results in an ecstasy that helps hold the space for the listener to journey far and deep into powerful and sustained shamanic states of consciousness. The journey culminates in a bursting forth through the full spectrum portal of pure existence – returning safely home to the heart-centered presence and potential of the true self. The continuous heartbeat rhythm, medicine rattles, heart and soul activating trance drumming, combines with Steve's sonic mastery and deep didgeridoo to firmly anchor the entire journey to the listener's own sonically-driven trajectory. Repeated use of this music in a personal ritual or ceremonial context will enhance the heart's capacities for love, compassion, courage, power, and strength. (Audioglobe)

Tracklist:
01 The Shaman's Heart II 71:10

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Projekt
Catalognumber: PRO268

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. On their 2010 release 'Nos Chants Perdus', ROME assiduously develop their sound further on the minimalistic, simple singer-songwriter album 'Nos Chants Perdus', slowly leaving the apocalyptic realms behind them. Catchy melodies, which breathe the timeless atmosphere of the metropolis on the Seine, impress themselves on the memory. The sonorous voice bears the weltschmerz as well as the yearning for freedom and peace. Apart from the French song titles the lyrics are primarily performed in English, while the music is constructed primarily with acoustic instruments: piano, guitar, touches of strings, accordion. 'Nos Chants Perdus' by ROME is an exceptional and valuable example of the art of singer-songwriting, the likes of which haven't been heard in this concentration and with such gravity for a long time. Using acoustic instruments such as strings, brass and wood- winds, Anna-Varney's intensive vocal performance range from depression to (semi-)hysteria, from mournful lamentation to soothing narration, while lyrically (s)he is telling sad tales of euthanesia and homoerotic necrophilia, loss and a Jung-ian descent into one's own spiritual darkness. (Audioglobe)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EMygjYElALE#!

Distribution: Soul Food Distribution
Label / Sublabel: Trisol Music Group GmbH / Apocalyptic Vision
Catalognumber: apovis004

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. Their music grew out of a series of easy-going get-togethers to "see what the hell might happen." Roach and King soon discovered that growing up in the desert had mutually steeped them in the omnipresent influence of the Wild West in all its glory. Dust to Dust is western music in the truest sense. It is a bold step in a new direction: where sounds paint pictures with a range of colors drawn from the land, where stories are told with the instruments of old and new pioneers. Guitars, harmonicas and washboard rhythms find their place next to a wagon full of electronics. Roach and King manage to roll the clock back and jar it forward a bit, creating a unique piece of "New American West Music. "The music feels like torn leather chaps that have been out on the virtual-trail for a while, making Dust to Dust one of Roach's most melodic, yet gritty albums to date . . . It sounds like the musicians have strapped on six-shooters in a Sergio Leone spaghetti western." 'Back to Life' is a masterful expression drawing from the realm of Steve Roach's mythic imagination: an enveloping experience of vast beauty and mystery. These harmonically rich, multi-layered pieces breathe with an elemental ebb and flow; with the 2CD Back to Life, Steve achieves a new pinnacle within the ambient line of his oeuvre. The Steve Roach discography - rather than comprising clearly delineated chronological chapters - can instead be divided into various conceptual strands running and developing both in sync and in contrast with each other. Within these branches, there have always been milestones, and Back to Life is one of them. Back to Life isn't merely another piece of the intriguingly proliferating puzzle that is Steve's discography. It marks a new phase for Steve - and serves as proof that into his fourth decade as a recording artist, he still creates deep, involving works that are at home with benchmarks such as Magnificent Void, Mystic Chords and Sacred Spaces, Dynamic Stillness, and Sigh of Ages. (Audioglobe)

Tracklist:
CD1:
01 Where Rasa Lives 14:54
02 Cloud Cover 9:58
03 Tranquility Base 16:41
04 The Wonder of It All 6:59
05 Touchstones 4:07
06 Everything Inside 9:39
07 Back to Life 11:17
CD2:
01 Mist of Perception 70:00

Soundsamples: http://www.myspace.com/roachfansite

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Projekt
Catalognumber: PRO267

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. Sonorous stones, singing cristal bowls, duduk, balafon, voices... are combined in a subtle variety of expressions and display an unique kind of spiritual and archaic feelings. A sonorous ritual, a travel of transformation between what is above and what is below, between heavy and light, earth and sky.. An experience for solitary listeners, that close to a stone, are pierced from a sun's ray.
The revelatory expression that bond semplicity and knowledge, seem to be dispensed in a very natural way into sounds here, as the appearance of a sincere connection, then after 15 years from their first album "Giant Clowns Of The Solar World" we are proud to spread out this new rare pearl by Enten Hitti. (Tesco Germany)

Tracklist:

Soundsamples:

Distribution: n/a
Label / Sublabel: Hic Sunt Leones
Catalognumber:

Number of copies in stock, ready for shipping: We have to order this article and expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks. A low-key unison of dissonant ex-Soviet schlager melodies and forefront Italian vocals in a tender naive manner offer a unique nostalghic experience. The release comes in a beautiful digipak with a 12-page booklet.
Conception: Prosa Profana unveils a humane feeling of nostalghia as that of sorrow towards present lack of integrity, commonness, and harmony. Homesickness and melancholy, grief and yearning, but also hope and belief nostalghia is a deep relation one cannot relinquish or renounce since it is the purest sacrificial nature of a man. Sacrifice as a consequence of nostalghia is a verdict to overwhelmingly materialized time, its impiety and de-spiritualization.
